Jeremy studied theology at Calvary Chapel Bible College in Murrieta, California, and graduated with a degree. While at college, he was encouraged to join the worship team after a leader heard him playing guitar in the dorm’s kitchen, and soon he was leading worship services across Southern California.

Jeremy Camp began his professional music journey with the independent release of his first album Burden Mein 2000, which led to his first major-label release Stayin 2002. From that album, songs like “Walk by Faith” and “I Still Believe” became major hits on Christian radio, earning him early recognition. Over the years, Jeremy released many successful albums. By 2024, he had put out around 13 albums, with at least five of those earning Gold status from the RIAA.
