Biography

Eduin Caz, whose full name is Eduin Oswaldo Parra Cázares, was born on July 30, 1994, in Culiacán, Sinaloa, Mexico. He grew up in a modest household with his mother, Lorena Cázarez, and his brother Jhonny Caz, who later joined him in music. During his teenage years, Eduin often sang in public places, including transit areas, to help support his family. He eventually moved to Tijuana, where he studied at the Autonomous University of Baja Californiaand earned a degree in marketing, balancing both education and his passion for music.
Before creating his famous group, Eduin played in several small bands such as Banda Retro Sierreño, Aventa2 de Tijuana, and Los 4 de la Frontera. However, these projects did not last long due to disagreements and lack of growth. In 2014, along with close friends and fellow musicians, he co-founded Grupo Firmein Tijuana. At first, the band performed covers at local bars and events, slowly gaining attention through online videos.
Their early songs, including “Pídeme”, “Juro Por Dios”, and “Ni el Dinero, Ni Nada”, started to reach a wider audience, and by 2017 their album Pasado, Presente, Futurobrought them more recognition. In 2019, they achieved a major breakthrough with hits like “El Tóxico”, “Ya Supérame”, and “Yo Ya No Vuelvo Contigo”, which placed them on Latin music charts and earned awards. Their sound, which mixes norteño and banda styles with modern rhythms, helped them reach international fans and sell out stadiums in Mexico and the United States, including record-breaking shows at SoFi Stadium. Eduin and the group also introduced sensory vests at concerts, allowing fans with hearing impairments to feel the beat of the music.
Despite his success, Eduin has faced several health challenges. In 2023, he was diagnosed with Barrett’s esophagus, a serious condition of the throat that can lead to cancer, and later underwent surgery. Around the same time, he developed alopecia areata, an autoimmune disorder that caused sudden hair loss, which doctors linked to the stress of constant touring. In 2025, he also required surgery on his vocal cords due to severe lesions, which affected his speaking and singing ability.
On the personal side, Eduin married Daisy Anahy, his high school sweetheart. The couple has two children together, a son named Eduin Jr. and a daughter named Dhasia Geraldine. While he shares some glimpses of family life on social media, Eduin tends to protect his private life and focuses publicly on his career. Alongside his music, he has ventured into business, including a clothing line and a restaurant.
