Dana Linn Bailey was born on May 30, 1980 (some sources say 1983) in Pennsylvania. From a very young age, her parents encouraged her to join sports. When she was five years old she started swimming. As she got older, she also played soccer, basketball, field hockey, swimming and track. She was shy as a kid and did not talk much unless someone asked her a question. In high school she chose to play field hockey in fall, basketball in winter, and soccer in spring. After high school, she was recruited as a defender for soccer at West Chester University.
Dana Linn Bailey first competed in figurebodybuilding from 2006 to 2010. In 2006 she entered her first figure show at the Lehigh Valley Championships. She worked as a physical education teacher until 2007, but then stopped teaching so she could focus full time on her bodybuilding dreams.
In 2011 she switched to the new Women’s Physiquedivision. She won the 2011 Junior USA in Charleston, gaining her IFBB pro card and becoming the first women’s physique professional in the NPC/IFBB. In her first pro show in 2012, the Desert Muscle Classic, she placed 4th. Later that year, she also entered the New York Pro, but did not place.
Her greatest competition success came in 2013: she won the Dallas Europa Supershow, and won the Women’s Physique Olympia, becoming the first champion ever in that division. She defended her Olympia title in later years, placing second in 2014, and also placed second at the Arnold Classic Ms. International in 2015.
After 2015 she reduced competition in bodybuilding shows and focused on other ventures. She competed in powerlifting between 2017-2018, joined strength competitions like the Brute Showdown, and explored non-bodybuilding media projects. She also runs businesses: a gym called Warhouse Gym (with her husband), a clothing line Flag Nor Fail, and a training app.
She is very active on social media and uses her platform to share workouts, inspire fans, and promote her businesses. Her visibility outside of contests (through videos, brand partnerships, content) has become an important part of her career.
As of 2025 Dana Linn Bailey’s net worth is estimated at about $4 million. Her income comes from her IFBB pro fitness contests, her gym business, her online coaching and training programs, brand deals, and her social media presence.
